although this film was made in the early 90's, the information here is just as relevant and factual for today.
this video describes (both in clinical and biological ways) how a person using opiate "painkillers" can easily become addicted to them. Often times, people who consume prescription painkillers are not fully aware of just how habit-forming they can be. They soon learn, however, when they try to stop taking them, and experience the terrible withdrawal symptoms that occur. *should be mandatory viewing in all substance abuse treatment settings* |
