Cute Story,
By Kerri Busteed "Kerri J. Busteed" (Wisconsin) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Present for Mom (Paperback)
It's the day before Mother's Day and Stanley doesn't know what to get him mom. He tries asking all of his brothers and sisters what they were giving their mom, but none of their ideas worked for him. Now it's the night before and he has nothing to give. What will Stanley do?This is a cute story for very young children. My son and I read it together and he loved the story. The characters are cute and lovable. I think any early reader (or child that needs to be read to) would enjoy it! By Kerri J. Busteed Author of Will's First Hunt Will's First Hunt

A nice, three-hankie Mother's Day book,
By DJ Joe Sixpack (...in Middle America) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER)
This review is from: A Present for Mom (Hardcover)
This is a sweet, sappy story in which Stanley the kitten, the youngest of four children, worries about what to get his mom for Mother's Day. The older kids are giving great presents -- flowers, a box of candy, a cake -- but Stanley's only little and doesn't have any money to buy stuff or know how to make things himself. Finally, with a suggestion from his siblings, he decides to give his mom a box full of kisses, which of course makes her melt into a warm happy puddle. It's sappy, maybe even saccharine, but it's gonna bring a tear to your eye, whether you like it or not! (ReadThatAgain)
