More About the Author

Penney Peirce is a gifted intuitive empath and visionary, and one of the pioneers in the intuition development movement. She is a popular author, lecturer, and trainer specializing in intuition and sensitivity development, "skillful perception," and dreamwork. She has worked throughout the US, Japan, South Africa, South America, and Europe since 1977 as a coach to business executives, coaches, psychologists, scientists, other trainers, and those on a spiritual path; she has counseled tens of thousands of individuals worldwide about life and business direction, and the fulfillment of destiny.

Penney has been involved with The Center for Applied Intuition, The Institute for the Study of Conscious Evolution, Coach University, Coaches Training Institute in Europe, The Arlington Institute (futurists), and The Kaiser Institute, which trains hospital CEO's in the development of intuitive skills. Penney has led visionquest tours to Peru, Japan, Egypt, and the American Southwest; hosted a TV talk show; presented keynotes, lectures, and workshops at colleges and conferences internationally; and appeared on radio and television interview shows internationally.

She is the author of FREQUENCY: THE POWER OF PERSONAL VIBRATION (2009), THE INTUITIVE WAY: THE DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO INCREASING YOUR AWARENESS (Beyond Words 1997; 2nd edition Council Oak Books 2005; 3rd edition Simon & Schuster 2009), DREAM DICTIONARY FOR DUMMIES (Wiley 2008), DREAMS FOR DUMMIES (Wiley 2000), and THE PRESENT MOMENT: A DAYBOOK OF CLARITY OF INTUITION (McGraw Hill 2000). She is featured in various other books, including: BREAKING THROUGH: GETTING PAST THE STUCK POINTS by Barbara Stanny, RETURN OF THE REVOLUTIONARIES by Walter Semkiw, MD, THE PURPOSE OF YOUR LIFE and WHEN LIFE CHANGES, OR YOU WISH IT WOULD by Carol Adrienne, THE CELESTINE PROPHECY and TENTH INSIGHT Experiential Guides, by Adrienne and James Redfield, and INTUITING THE FUTURE and OPENING THE INNER EYE by Dr. William Kautz.

Peirce's work is open-minded, practical, and sophisticated, synthesizing diverse cultural and spiritual world views with many years' experience in business as a corporate art director with such companies as Atlantic Richfield and American Hospital Supply Corporation. She is extraordinarily attuned to the intricacies of the mind and the dimensions of human awareness, blending a deep understanding of natural laws with a designer's skill in structural patterning. She is known for her ability to present complex ideas in a common sense, easy-to-understand way.

Penney emphasizes the practical aspects of intuitive development, helping people apply "direct knowing" to increase natural efficiency and their enjoyment and participation level in life. Her work assists people and organizations in uncovering life purpose and action plan, understanding and easing transitions, alleviating burnout, and finding accurate answers to pressing questions. She believes that life functions according to innate natural principles, and when we live in alignment with these truths, things work smoothly and effectively.

Penney was educated at the University of Cincinnati, the New School for Social Research, Columbia, and California Institute of the Arts. She makes her home near San Francisco. Her websites are www.penneypeirce.com and www.thefrequencybook.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars Opens awareness of intuition, April 8, 2009
This review is from: The Present Moment: A Daybook of Clarity and Intuition (Paperback)
I started reading this book January 1st with 2 friends who are also using the book to become more aware of their personal reaction to life. We share aha moments or coincidences in our life that relate to a day's reading or something the author has said that resonates deeply. It's easy to commit to this book because it's only one page per day. Each day, she offers a story from her own experience, or someone else's, and an activity that doesn't take long if you choose to do it. After four months of reading, I am trusting my intuition more, feeling more connected with my feelings and motivations, and seeing a verification of this increase. I enjoy the daily reminder to be fully present in the moment and make it meaningful. It's at times inspirational, other times a confirmation of like-minded thought, and/or instructional. I recommend picking this up at any time of the year and following it for awhile to see how it opens your awareness of how you're spending your energy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Right On After All These Years, June 21, 2001
This review is from: The Present Moment: A Daybook of Clarity and Intuition (Paperback)
When living in San Francisco in the 80's, I consulted Penney several times, even attended a workshop of hers. She was always creative, fresh, highly intuitive and supportive of my growth. I find the same things in this wonderful new book of hers. She always brings things back to the simplicity that the power lies within each of us. And this book is one of her ways of helping us find it. See? Still right on after almost 20 years!
