"Though plenty of people would rather hang from their fingernails than address a crowd, every business (and every business career) depends on giving effective presentations. Which is why presentation-skills workshops are continually in demand--and why corporate trainers are forever searching for solid, well-designed materials to guide them.
Second in a new series for trainers, The Presentation Skills Workshop supplies all the hands-on instruction and practical tools needed to design and lead effective training sessions.
After introducing a proven and easy-to-remember communication model, the book takes readers through both the preparation phases (designing the course, selling the workshop, setting up the room) and the workshop delivery (analyzing the audience, conducting the course, reviewing feedback). Throughout, it offers an abundance of real-world examples, worksheets, and visual aids--all the ready-to-go work tools the trainer needs."
Dr. Sherron Bienvenu (Alpharetta, GA) is a well-known consultant and trainer whose clients include Lockheed Martin, AT&T, American Cancer Society, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and others. She also teaches communications courses to BBA, MBA, and Executive Education students at Emory University's Goizueta Business School.

I have taught presentation skills for 25 years and have read many books on the topic. This one is an exceptional, hands-on guide for trainers that follows a powerful model. I rank this among the top 2 or 3 such books I have ever used. Excellent guide. Highly recommended to anyone teaching or coaching presenters or public speakers.

As a former executive MBA student of Dr. Sherron Bienvenu, I know she brings an impressive background of knowledge and experience to the task of training great presenters. In her Trainer's Guide: The Presentation Skills Workshop, Dr. Bienvenu has delivered a comprehensive, yet very usable resource for the busy executive or manager. She asks the right questions and gets to the real issues without wasting time on academic rhetoric. Her real world training methods are focused and effective. As Dr. Bienvenu states in her introduction, a great presenter must have both an appropriate skill level and personal confidence. The Presentation Skills Workshop can assist you in acquiring both. Dr. Bienvenu's book will truly help professionals develop and deliver great presentations. A "must own."
