5.0 out of 5 stars The presentations skills workshop
I have taught presentation skills for 25 years and have read many books on the topic. This one is an exceptional, hands-on guide for trainers that follows a powerful model. I rank this among the top 2 or 3 such books I have ever used. Excellent guide. Highly recommended to anyone teaching or coaching presenters or public speakers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Amazed at the reviews received
I am amazed that reviewers have awarded 5 stars to this book. Personally I found it quite mundane, plus not organised. Why, for example should the worksheet for evaluation appear two times - on pages 124-125 and again 175-176? To fill pages? For me, finding any useful stuff was a pain and also futile. If anyone is interested in getting help on teaching Presentation Skills...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Doctor Delivers, March 29, 2000
This review is from: The Presentation Skills Workshop: Helping People Create and Deliver Great Presentations (The Trainer's Workshop Series) (Paperback)
As a former executive MBA student of Dr. Sherron Bienvenu, I know she brings an impressive background of knowledge and experience to the task of training great presenters. In her Trainer's Guide: The Presentation Skills Workshop, Dr. Bienvenu has delivered a comprehensive, yet very usable resource for the busy executive or manager. She asks the right questions and gets to the real issues without wasting time on academic rhetoric. Her real world training methods are focused and effective.

As Dr. Bienvenu states in her introduction, a great presenter must have both an appropriate skill level and personal confidence. The Presentation Skills Workshop can assist you in acquiring both. Dr. Bienvenu's book will truly help professionals develop and deliver great presentations. A "must own."

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Resource!, June 24, 2003

This review is from: The Presentation Skills Workshop: Helping People Create and Deliver Great Presentations (The Trainer's Workshop Series) (Paperback)
Bienvenu covers everything the presentation skills trainer needs from how to sell the training to management to exactly what to say in class. I had some experience presenting and training, but when I had to prepare a presentation workshop, this book saved my life! I got it right--with confidence! I recommend this book for trainer and presenters alike. Thanks for a great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!, September 22, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Presentation Skills Workshop: Helping People Create and Deliver Great Presentations (The Trainer's Workshop Series) (Paperback)
As a former student of Dr. Bienvenu's, I know that everything in this book is right on target for success in the real world. I took everything she taught me in school and use it in my career, and my presentations looked top-notch professional from the very first day. Now I'm using this book as a training guide--and as gifts for my colleagues.
Dr. Bienvenu is direct and to the point, yet she leaves nothing out. As I read this book, I feel like she is still with me as my professional coach.

I was looking for a book that would be my "best friend" when I had to prepare presentations. After reading this book and doing everything Dr. Bienvenu said to do, I did SO WELL that I was asked to teach a class! Everything I needed to know was in this book, and I was confident from the beginning.

I have researched 72 books on presentation skills and Dr. Bienvenu's is without doubt the most insightful. For those people looking for concise information and guidance on conducting seminars, this workshop will take you through a step by step process that not only affords the reader the requisite knowledge but at the same time enhances one's confidence level. I have utilized the techniques and they work.
