There are so many highlights on this CD. Where to start? "Abilene" is beautiful and sad, "When I was Your Girl" is an unabashed rocker. The country elements are subtle and effective, and the songwriting is deeply felt. If you like Lucinda and Emmylou, you'll dig this record.

Great Unknowns = Great Music!,

This is a great CD for road. Put the windows down, crank up the sound and sing along. The lyrics offer charming little surprises along the way and you'll have your favorite lines before too long. The Great Unknown sound is authentically great, the writing is original, their lead singer provides wonderful down-home vocals. If I were a gamblin' girl I'd say we're going to be hearing more good stuff from this band. At least I hope so!

I discovered this band by accident. Listened to a few clips and liked what I heard. Since I bought the CD, it has become one of my very favorites and I listen to it all the time.
