Why does everyone hate this album?! Who could hate a classic album that has songs like L.A. Fo Ya,Life As a Gangsta, ect. This is the greatest release of 2002, mabey even one of the greatest releases ever.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good album with many others on it, March 7, 2005

First off it is not really a Mack 10 solo album. Guests are on every song, and 2 Mack isn't even on, out of the 11 songs. It is more like a showcase of some of his new labelmates (as with his "Ghetto Gutter & Gangsta" album). Overall however it is a solid CD and one of his better works. Production is good and done mostly by Young Trey (5 songs), Leslie Braithewaite & Timbaland each do 2, and Lil Jon & R. Coes each do 1. There is no weak track on here that I skip or no classic but all 11 are good songs and you can listen from start to finish without skipping any trracks (except maybe the 3 skits). A good album to have for Mack fans.

#2 - 8 (mack 10, deviossi, skoop delania, k-mac, cousteau)
#3 - 8.5 (good beat -- mack 10, deviossi, skoop delania, k-mac, cousteau)
#4 - 8 (mack 10, devisossi, skoop delania, techniec, cousteau)
#6 - 8.5 (good beat -- mack 10, deviossi, skoop delania, k-mac, cousteau)
#7 - 8 (mack 10, deviossi, skoop delania, k-mac, cousteau)
#9 - 8.5 (dirty song -- mack 10, deviossi, skoop delania, k-mac,)
#10 - 8 (techniec)
#11 - 8 (mack 10, deviossi, skoop delania, k-mac, cousteau)
#12 - 7.5 (techniec & ice cube)
#13 - (mack 10, deviossi, skoop delania, k-mac, cousteau, techniec)
#14 - 8 (mack 10, deviossi, skoop delania, k-mac, cousteau, big tymers, timbaland)

Mack 10 Presents Da Hood is a great album and it's Mack 10's best. I am suprised that Mack released such a classic album 7 years after his debut. Every song on this album is great. My favorite songs are LA Fo Ya, Welcome to the Hood, and Hittin' Switches. This album is classic, it's a must have.

4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent compilation album from Mack 10 & his crew, November 6, 2002

"Mack 10 Presents...Da Hood" is a highly slept-on West Coast album, in my opinion. It deserves more attention that what I see its getting--the production is nice, the featured rappers are raw (especially Techniec, who lyrically tears up both of his solo tracks), and the album doesn't attempt to be anything that its not--just a short but sweet, solid, West Coast compilation. At least give this one a listen!

I was very disappointed in this cd. It is probably the worst Mack 10 has ever put out. Don't waste your money, their last cd was 10 times better, go buy that one!
