5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
I love my new cutting board. I love the color. I love the fact that they are made with post consumer waste. I love the size. I love the shape. I love that it is made in the USA. The only thing I wish it had was a hole so that I could hang it on a hook in my kitchen. Other than that, I highly recommend this cutting board.

1.0 out of 5 stars not flat
I bought a set, small and large, at a local store. I liked the recycled material and made in USA aspects. But neither is perfectly flat, they are slightly bowed so they spin on the counter. So, good material, nice color, heavy, but otherwise almost unusable.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Vampire of Cutting Boards, November 14, 2010
By
This product is beautiful. Beautiful and dangerous. Like any vampire, its beauty will draw you in...then BAM...it wants your blood.

The red color really livens up my kitchen and makes me want to take pretty pictures of the items I'm chopping (I don't actually do it, but I want to). Like everyone else, I love that it's constructed of recycled materials and made in the USA. However, it spins and it's uneven. More than once, I've held onto the item I'm cutting and the board has spun my hand under where my knife is chopping. I'm certain that if I leave the board this way I will eventually chop off a finger. I'll be making a trip to the hardware store to see if I can get some rubber nubs or something to glue to the bottom of it...in the meantime, I'll probably continue to use it anyway because those vampires are so damn irresistible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, May 31, 2009
By
I love this cutting board! It's great that preserve uses recycled #5 plastic for their products. And made in U.S.A. is pretty rare and awesome to come by these days! The board itself (I have the large one) is a good weight, nice textured bottom so it doesn't slide much, great surface area, nice thickness, and great quality. I've seen it in stores too but Amazon still had the best price, plus no shipping charge and no tax! Plus, you can just re-recycle it in a few years down the road when it's time for a new one!

1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely POOR Design!, May 19, 2009
For an eco-friendly item, this cutting board was designed horribly. The design looks cool but is hardly eco-friendly in terms of getting the most use and longest life possible out the the item. The actual cutting area is a "knife friendly" surface in a circle on the top of the cutting board. The WHOLE back of the cutting board has this same "knife friendly" surface which is a complete waste b/c of the curved design on the top side of the board. So, you cannot flip it over and use both sides. If it were truly eco-friendly, you should be able to use both sides of the board making it last longer therefore being more eco-friendly. Preserve, take away the curved up design on the board so both sides can be used and I will buy it again. It's just a waste of space!

This it the nicest cutting board I've used. Its raised edge makes it very easy to pick up off the counter. The material seems very kind to knife blades.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, July 4, 2011

We were looking for a BPA Free, Dishwasher Friendly cutting board, and we found it. I use a large chefs knife on it, and it does leave cutting marks. We have washed it over 25 times, and its holding up so far. This is not a lifetime product, so we hope to get a year out of it or more, using it about 2-3x per week (dishwasher cleaned each time.)

If I had to buy this 1x per year. I would at the $13 price point.

After reading the reviews, and striving to "go green" and purchase items only made in America, I ordered this in red. Wow! I have used it several times, and am thrilled with it. Yes, I can see that some say it slips a little, but it is not a huge problem. I would buy this product again. It would also make a great gift!

3.0 out of 5 stars It's a cutting board, July 15, 2009

This is a nice chunk of polypropylene. It's supportive, easy to grip, won't dull your knife, and ecologically friendly. On the downside, polypropylene isn't known for its stickiness, so this board moves a lot while you're cutting on it. I would go for a heavier board or one with something sticky on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cutting Board, March 27, 2009
I ordered the small and large. They are very sturdy and hold up well in the dishwasher. Best of all, they are made in the USA.
