About the Author

A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Harry Benson became a photojournalist working for English newspapers in his early 20s. Assigned to cover the Beatles, he accompanied them to America in 1964 and then made New York his base. He began working for Life magazine in 1967 and subsequently worked for People, shooting over 100 covers, and is currently under contract to Vanity Fair and The New Yorker. He has had 38 one-man exhibitions of his photographs. His many books include Abrams' recent Harry Benson: 50 Years in Pictures. Benson lives in New York City with his wife, Gigi, and two daughters. Patti Davis is the author of five books, including a spiritual memoir about her father. Davis is currently working on a novel. She lives in Santa Monica, California. Gigi Benson has coordinated Harry Benson's exhibitions and book-related projects for 35 years.

Enjoyed the book very much. I appreciated it being sent shortly after placing my order also. I orderd this book with another book, Nancy, A Portrait of Nancy Reagan. Never received the book, was refunded on my account by seller with no commucation about what happen to book. I have ordered it again and am waitting to receive it. I have commucated with seller and was told that book was mailed on the 21st of March. Hope to receive the book as I very much would like to read it.
