The President, in this fantasy novel, actually listens to ideas--and from an unlikely source. The ideas which intrigue him are very timely and speak to many of the economic problems facing America, which is interesting because the author is British. Which may explain why the fierce partisanship in the real America evaporates in this book's election campaign.
