About the Author

Marilyn was born and raised in central New York and has lived in Florida for 40 years. She spent 50 years in business in a variety of roles, first as a secretary working her way through the ranks to business manager for an international sports magazine. As an ordained minister, she founded a metaphysical church and school and taught in South Florida for many years. Marilyn started studying metaphysics in 1970 and astrology in 1973 and began teaching in 1975. She holds professional status with the American Federation of Astrologers, Inc. (PMAFA). Over the years she has taught locally and nationally, had a live astrological television segment and was a radio and magazine columnist. Since retiring, she hosts occasional workshops and private classes for national and international students.

Marilyn retired with the object of researching and writing, which she has now been doing for several years. She has seven completed books, several in varying stages of completion, and three major research projects underway with the intent of publishing. One is a second and larger book on all the presidents, another a serial killer study, and third a soup cookbook (she makes great soup). Can you tell she is eclectic in her interests?

Marilyn is a brilliant author. This book should be on Oprah! It is very readable book for somebody at my level who knows nothing about astrology. She has taken the essence of what is clearly a very complicated science and distilled it into something easy to read and understand. Her personality and sense of humor also shine through the pages, although she doesn't hesitate to call a spade a spade when discussing certain issues like social security, education, and the current economic debacle. Most of all she gives specific dates on when things will happen which makes me feel I can breathe again. At times it feels we'll never climb out of this mess, but she shows when and how, so now I can plan my life. Interestingly, her predictions are being proved by the daily news headlines. President Obama just confirmed one of her dates -- June 2010 for the end of the credit crunch.

The author, Marilyn Muir, applied time tested principles of astrology, to a study of one of its kind. The presidents that shaped the new world, USA. By presenting the study in a language that is not astrological oriented, the author brought this amazing work of labor to a common mind and simple understanding. By comparing the changes and hope that have been supported by the past presidents, to the current hope and change we look forward to, she not only proved the trust we have in our leader but also once again proved that things that so seem to be random in nature are not so random.
This book is a non-party biased work with a complete astrological backing. Please go to the book's blog site to get the required astrological research and support.
Wishing the author a very good luck in the success of the book and also thanking her for providing us the reassurance of the trust and hope we currently hold in our leader.

Is it possible to write an objective review of a book written by a dear friend and mentor? Probably not. . .objectivity will have to take a back seat to unbridled enthusiasm, and that enthusiasm has grown with each reading!

Marilyn has managed to write a book about astrology for non-astrologers which is packed with insights. This could well serve to painlessly introduce people to the language of astrology and may spark an interest in them to delve further into the subject.

Some of the more fascinating (at least to my mind) aspects of the book are the predictions. If you want to know when and how the current financial debacle will evolve, read the book.
