I bought his album ten years ago when it came out first. It was special at the time, singles like 'peaches' and 'lump' matched my energy at the time. It seemed like there was only one song that summer, 'peaches' and it lasted beyond. The songs on the original are great summer party songs and they still are. I lost my original a while back and the summers just werent the same - this album has a great energy and this summer was made complete with this release. The added material is interesting but a little desparate, there are some good alternate versions of the originals and some demos. The demos are interesting to see how the process involved in songwriting works and then to compare with the finished product, as i said interesting but i could have done without half of the bonus material. The original album hasnt lost any of its vibrant, headbopping energy and the sometimes complete childish idioacy of the lyrics makes the music special in its genre and still makes me grin. Yes, i am that old fart in the office, 2 stone heavier, and thinks that nightclubs are to noisy - reliving the lost pleasures of youth and fond memories - it works for me. This album is good fun both 10 years ago and today. enjoy the fun.

I have waited years to get my hands on this cd again after it was stolen from me. Only to hear that all of PUSA's was out of print, I was pretty pissed off. That happened almost 5 years ago. Then the other day my wife and i and my kids were at our favorite music shop and I found the Ten Year Super Bonus Special Anniversary Edition PUSA's self-titled debut. I flipped out and got it. And truefully I enjoy this version as much as the original, and the bonus DVD has all of PUSA's videos...all the hits that is. This album I would give a full 10 stars, but saddly you can only give a five.

Go out and get this one boys and girls! I saw these guys back in late '95 early '96 when they played at Mt. Rushmore here in my home state. Just thought I would throw that in.

This album is well worth every cent!

Finally, after many years, the Presidents decided to re-release their 1st album. It went out of print a little while ago, just as I was getting into these guys. And now, they have brought it back on their independent label. Now we can all get our daily dosage of ROK!

I loved this CD when it first came out, i was a freshman in high school. It was stolen from me and i have been searching for it since then. I went to the local CD store, where they can order any CD you can think of, only to find out that it was out of print. I was bummed! Then i thought, about AMAZON and how they have new and used figuring that someone had to be selling a used copy. I was elated to see my favorite CD not only back in print but enhanced by a bonus DVD. To my fellow generation, buy now, relive those fund days of High School when these guys rocked our world. Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow!

This remastered version is an upgrade to the "old" CD you have. The sound quality is great. As for the music, you already know about that or you wouldn't be reading this.

If you grew up in the 90s, you should have this album, if you were born, ever, you should have this album, if there was only one Presidents album you could ever own... You should grab this one, then grab POUSA II, then let them fight it out for themselves!

If you already own this album, put it away, take it to a show someday and have them sign it, and buy this album to play, and for the DVD.

As a fan, this is a must have, and it's perfect if you're just coming to think 'damn the Presidents are good... maybe I should buy one of their albums'. You should. You should buy them all... Don't believe me, give a listen, and if they aren't the most fun you've ever heard... You work in an amusement park of awesomeness and glee and rock... and more awesomeness.

The Presidents of the United States of America (can you think of a better title for a band in an election year?) have some nerve; starting with their name. You know from the name that these guys are making fun of something, or somebody, maybe everybody.

My memory of the band goes back to the mid 90s when they made quite a splash with their pseudo hit "Peaches". The song was catchy and irreverent all at the same time. Those qualities persist on this record.

I'm not going to lie to anyone. "Peaches" wasn't compelling enough for me to buy the record back in '94.

Fast forward about 14 years, and I'm watching Robyn Hitchcock's recent DVD featuring Peter Buck, John Paul Jones, and yes, the drummer from The Presidents. Being a big Hitchcock fan, I figured if they're good enough for Robyn, the Presidents deserved another listen. I'm glad I did. The Presidents are equal parts Beck, Stephen Malkmus, AC/DC, Axl Rose, and Nirvana all wrapped into one one big bundle of fun.

If you like some, or all of the above bands, chances are you'll cast your vote for, and support The Presidents Of The United States of America.

A couple funny notes of why this cd rocks in more ways than one.If you ever feel the world is giving you a good bashing all you need is this cd to lighten everything up:) If your kids are not having a good morning put this cd on but get ready to turn down kitty at the bridge of the song:) My daughter hates it when I turn down the song at that part. She is only 4 but sings almost every song on the cd. We have a little hill close to her school that has big ruts and major craters I call it the Dune Buggy hill so most mornings on the way to school we put DB on and drive down the bumpy hill working out the shocks:) Im bummed I havent seen these guys live yet only living 2 hrs away from Seattle its on the top ten things to do if they do some live shows again. Ten years ago I passed on these guys perferring the Aic, Soundgarden type stuff but how can you not be a fan of these guys? One of the best cds ever!!

I sent this cd to a good friend who's an avid PUSA fan and he liked the album so much that until now he never fails to say thank you (that's 2 weeks since I gave him the cd). I like their 2 songs, Peaches and Lump. A good ol' punk CD. :)
