Press Dough Ultimate Cookie Set

Purchased two kits for three girls age 7-10. Very colorful and lots of interesting pieces like a playdough kit but HUGE disappointment. Followed all directions and used both store bought dough and homemade dough with equally dismal results. Kids frustrated and gave up after 25 minutes of aggravation and injuries.

Results not as expected: Manufacturer claims the cookies will retain their shape during baking but it still spreads into indistinguishable blobs even when placed in the freezer prior to baking as instructed.

Beware potential injuries: ALL parts are smooth and shiny plastic. As a result, the parts are difficult for kids to work with and often ended with jammed and smashed fingers/knuckles because the plunger system does not have any grip to it causing the toy (and your child's hand) to slam on it's side when applying pressure to 'press' the cookie onto the sheet. *Remember that sugar cookie dough contains oils making hands slippery and the lack of any grip or texture on any of the pieces will result in slippage and potential injuries.

Extruders & shapes using the orange shape makers: The attachments for the extruder and cookie press looked cool but makes no sense because any shape extruded (U shapes, squares, hearts, moon, triangle, etc.) will not retain that shape when baked. Instructions are minimal so I imagine that dough from the extruder & press with the orange shape attachments are probably meant to be sliced and placed on another dough shape. Neat idea but it just melts & bakes right into a typical sugar cookie puddle.

Wish I could say something good about this product but it is just a bad toy and a waste of money.
