More About the Author

Raleigh artist, Linda Rae Blair was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.

Ms. Blair is the author of historic romances, modern romances, mysteries, and sagas that include all four. She has used her knowledge gained during extensive travel throughout the United States and her passion for art, history, mysteries, and scenery to create compact novels with rich characters so real you'll miss them when they're gone and places you'll swear you've been.

Her love of history is well-earned. She is a direct descendant of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins of Mayflower fame. She is also descended from a strong line of Scots-Irish immigrants to America in the 1700s. She even had a great uncle who was robbed by the infamous outlaw Belle Starr.

Ms. Blair has spent many happy hours in Virginia Beach during off-season, when the winds blow cold and hard and the salty air whips at the weather-protected palms. This is the locale chosen for the base her Preston Andrews series. Locals and visitors alike will find many familiar frames of reference in this series.

An avid reader who inhales novels by Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown and others in the romance/mystery genres, her imagination takes you to a variety of places and times all in the same story.

Her novels have been described as sweeping yet compact novels in an appealing style. Her characters have been praised for being full and rich characters that you will want more and more.

One thing is for certain, she combines her passions into stories interesting to history buffs, travelers, and lovers of romance and mystery.

Seattle has a very active kidnapper, active enough that they have asked for FBI help. Enter Rachel the FBI's go to girl, unfortunately now she's gone and only the kidnapper knows where. Press can't be anywhere else or do anything else, no matter the cost, Press will find Rachel. Press, Trace , Palmer and Press's father senator William Andrews converge on Seattle hoping for a quick resolution unfortunately it just doesn't happen. Time drags on, things grow stagnant there isn't a resolution in sight, something is seriously wrong. Press has had problems with the FBI in the past most notably with Director Probst. Could the FBI be a part of the problem maybe even all the problem?
This story was well written and quite possibly the best of the series.

Series of short books- and I do mean series- try to read them in order if possible. Since they are quite short they're great for people who don't have the patience for long books.
1. Hard Press'd
2. Press'd Into Action,
3. Press'd to the Wall,
4. Press On,
5. Pressing Engagement,
6. Pressing The Message Home,
7. Press `n SEAL,
8. A Pressing Issue of Murder,
9. Trace Evidence.

I thought this book was fantastic. I orginally got this book for my wife, but then I decided to read it my self, and found that her books were exceptional. All of her books that I have read are exceptional. A very good read, holds your attention all the way through.
