Flashback, July 10, 2001

3 Decades ago the Duke of Burlington made this instrumental album (piano, electric guitar, superb drums and flute). It may sound like background music, but it deserves better. Flash, a Golden Oldie in the vinyl age, didn't make it in the CD era. This precious tune didn't really break the charts and since then it is rarely played. Shame ! Until I get hold of this album on CD, I'll take utmost care of the LP..... Six months later (March 2002) my crusade is successful. Internet search engines led me to SAAR Records, Milono Italy: it was out of stock but a very cooperative employee was prepared to dig into the digital archives and burn me a copy. It will take a miracle to find this CD in the shops.
