I use this game in speech and language therapy as a reinforcement activity. My kids love playing this game and collecting the coins in their treasure chests. I work with children from ages 3 - 11 and all of them appeared to enjoy playing this. I would recommend this to parents and individuals that work with children. It's fun and keeps their attention.
Great game for preschool through 3rd grade. All 3 of my boys loved playing it. The treasure chests and coins were a big hit. Takes about 20 minutes to play, and the "bonus round" at the end when you can win all of the pirates treasure is the best!
My son has this game and we purchased it for our nephew's 3rd birthday. They both enjoy it (3 & 4 yrs old). It is fairly easy to play only wish the spinner worked better and didn't fly off every other time we spin it.
My son recently turned 3, the game is looooong, he has no attention span to finish it. So once he starts getting distracted a lot we say "2 more turns and we are going to count everyone's gold". Same reason I don't like baseball, it is going to be long, but how painfully long, you never know. Treasure chests aren't very stable on the board, the coins aren't very stable on the board, a little brush of his little arm and we have to rearrange the coins again. 4 stars because it is a decent starter board game and because my son adores it :)
