Triominos is that rare game that's equally fun for adults and for kids. The kids will gain addition skills without realizing they're learning; they will also sharpen observational skills and visualization of shapes/positions. Excitement builds as that rare forty- or fifty-pointer is discovered, but "Oh!!" the numbers are backward! It doesn't fit! Or those moments when there is finally a place to play that difficult triple number but "Aieee!" The player before you took that place and you're still stuck! Outstanding fun and competition!
Sturdy plastic playing pieces in an attractive tin box make the game indestructable and easy to carry along for traveling.

I bought this for my mother in law and everyone that comes to visit her has to play before they are allowed to leave. The game is very challenging and it is so much fun it keeps you thinking and studying your pieces for a good move and hope that someone else doesn't take it before your turn. If you want a good time get this game it is well worth the money. The tin that it comes in is really nice and the little spinners in the peices are a plus when you need to scramble the pieces.

Fun game to play with 2 or 3 total people. Tiles are sturdy, the tin is good enough, and instructions/scoring is simple.
Minor Con: The version I played (before buying my own) came in a box, not a tin, and had two-tier tile holders. This version in the tin does NOT include those holders. My mistake for not realizing this difference.
Still, a fun game that takes 10-20 minutes per round.

I discovered this game years ago... and every person I've ever played it with has liked it so much that I have ended up buying it for them as a gift. It is simple but not boring, and easy to pack and take with you on vacations --- it is a staple on all of our trips! Great for kids (6+ or so) and adults alike --- easy way to gather people around a table. You can get a cheaper version with lightweight hollow-back tiles, but I really like the heft of these solid domino-like tiles... I paid more than $20 for the first sets of these I bought years ago --- worth every penny! --- so getting them at this price is crazy good :)

I had played this game with plastic pieces that kept falling over, were hard to handle. This is just great! Glad I got it. Had hours of fun with a variety of ages included - from 13 to 84 - all enjoyed it. Hones the adding skills...

This version of the game doesn't come with holders, which I didn't notice when I ordered. I'm re-ordering the version that has holders for the pieces. Much easier to play that way.

This game has become popular with our adult friends. What makes it great for company is that you can play while still enjoying each others conversations. It is an extremely well made game and will be one certainly passed down to the next generation. In-other-words, like Monopoly, it's a classic. Guarantee you won't be disappointed with this purchase.
