Our family has played tri-ominos at our cottage for many years; it has held the interest of both adults and kids more than any other game. The strategy has become more intricate as the children get older; but there is enough luck that even the youngest child can win. If you plan to play on a card table, buy the deluxe version.

I originally played a version of this game while living in Turkey and later bought this version in the States. The number matching is simple enough to let all ages play but there's just enough competition & strategy to keep the adults interested. For a while this game was almost a hobby. END

So many times, games promoted as "fun for the entire family" are really not; they are either difficult for the youngest to understand (or have a chance at winning without "help"), or oh-so-tedious for the adults. I've played this game with friends and family from ages 7 to 70, and everyone has a great time. The concept and rules are simple; there's enough strategy involved to hold adult interest, yet enough luck involved to even the playing field. The kids get a real thrill out of defeating us adults "fair and square". There's a juvenile version available for very young children, but even our 7-year-old liked the adult version (maybe because it made her feel "grown up".) Conversely, the juvenile version (which uses pictures instead of numbers) is no less of a challenge to adults than the original, and the pictures are really cute! The only durability "threat" is loss of game pieces. Educational value is limited--matching & numbers--but Tri-ominos more than redeems itself with a 5 in "family togetherness" value. Worth more than every penny of its price!

This game is lots of fun for everyone in the family. Because it is simple (match the numbers) young children can play. Because it requires some skill and thought, older family members will stay interested.
If you don't store the tiles in the box, they can fit into a small size bag and this makes it easy for taking places. It will easily fit into a small space in your luggage or in the camper. It makes it a great game for taking places.
Enjoy. Well worth the money.

We've owned two sets of Tri-0minos; both were the solid white tiles with clear black numbers, well built and fun to play. This set was made of a hollowed-out black plastic with badly printed on white letters that were hard to read, and of questionable durability.

Not what is pictured on the box at all. At this price, hardly worth sending back, and sadly it makes me nervous about trying to find the classic well-made set we had from before.

We have the original game and the playing pieces are much more durable. I was very disappointed in the quality of the playing pieces in this addition. I could not give this as a gift as planned.

This has been a family favorite in my home for many years.
If you don't store it in the box it takes up very little space. This makes it a great game for taking camping, on trips or places where space is a premium.
The directions are easy and almost any age can play this game. There are many educational lessons that can be learned while playing this game. All while having fun.
This is an excellent game and well worth the money.
Enjoy.

The product is not what I expected. The one I saw and used at my friend's house had solid tiles which are better to handle than these hollow ones. Of course, I'll keep it for the time being. I saw a difference in price but did not notice which was the "difference", cheap quality.
Thank you.
