4.0 out of 5 stars Long-Lost Game Found!
My daughter had this game some 20 years ago and it was one of the few kids' games I played with her that I enjoyed, too. I've looked for a replacement for years and am so excited to find it. I teach and this game has found a beloved place in my classroom. It requires thought and some strategy. The kids love it and so do I. It's much easier that the adult triominoes,...

I am sorry that I purchased this game. I thought that the 'dominoes' would be plastic but are flat cut-out cardboard pieces. These domino pieces will not last. One spilled drink will be the end of them. I did not return the game for the shipping charges were almost as much as the game itself. Very disappointed. The children I have shown the game to are not even...

The kids just love this game. They are so excited when they win. It's very educational for teaching the younger children, the older enjoy the challenge of winning. Non of them realize they are learning and thinking at the same time. Excellant, excellant game.Tri-Ominos For Kids

5.0 out of 5 stars A game that makes even adults THINK!, May 2, 2011

My 4-year-old son and I really enjoy Tri-Ominos For Kids. It is not a game that I play with him just because I'm obligated. I truly enjoy it AND have to work at it. All three corners and sides of the playing piece have to align with the others so they match. After a few pieces, one has to really think to get a good position. We make it like a regular game (who wins?), then after someone wins, we make it like finishing a puzzle together (will we be stuck with an "unusable" piece or use them all?). If, during a game, we are able to complete a 6-wedge circle, we cheer, for that is a difficult thing to accomplish. With 35 pieces, playing time is limited to 7-15 minutes per game, which is good for the age group. The pieces are made of cardboard, but they are a sturdy cardboard with a coated backing. Though they are not tiles, I think they will last a while. A child young enough to chew on these should not be playing with them anyway (reference to 3-star review). I was surprised, however, to see the $17 price. I thought $10-$12 since they must be inexpensive to produce. I do recommend this game for young children, but must admit I'm hesitating buying as a gift because of the price.

The children I have shown the game to are not even interested in playing because they have seem 'real' dominoes and do not wish to play with 'paper' stuff. So, so far this game has not even been taken out of the box and probably will not be, maybe I can give it as a gift to a very young child but then you cannot give it or play with too young a child or the domino pieces will all go to their month first. I should have read the product description much closer and more carefully. So really I am disappointed in the game and myself. One lesson learned.
