The object is simple enough in Chinese Checkers. Each player starts with 10 plastic marbles situated in the point of a star. During the game, players move their marbles across the board until they're all neatly settled in the opposite point. The fun comes in designing a strategy that allows marbles to move more than one space at a time. Clever players will position some of their marbles as jumping stations. With a good jump route, players can move marbles greater distances in a single turn. But they should be aware that the opposition can make use of the same route. As the game progresses, players will end up jumping their own marbles and any others that fall conveniently in their path. For two to six players, the first player to get their marbles across the board wins. featuring a ancient Chinese dragon motif, the cardboard game board is 12 inches square. Six sets of marbles come in solid red, yellow, blue, green, black, and white. --Wendy Slotboom

My son received this for Christmas! He is eight, and this is the perfect version of the game for him to get aquainted with. Although the pieces are plastic vs. marbles, and the board is cardboard vs. wood, it is a great version for any youngster to learn the game, without mom or dad worrying about it being ruined or pieces being lost! It is also some of the best time we can spend. It allows all the children and adults to play together, up to six players at a time! Perhaps something that is not done, as much as it should be, anymore! The whole family got into this one, and really had some quality time together. It is an easy game for children to grasp, the price is right! This was all around family fun! If you are into Chinese Checkers, and have some youngsters you want to introduce it to, this is the perfect version to do it with!

The game is fine if you don't mind the fact the the game board is a cheap cardboard stand up. With the weight of the game pieces it sags horribly in the middle. Pay a little more and get one with a real game board

The game is as ever Chinese Checkers. Six players can play at once and jump each other to make it across the playing board. As for the board its made out of plastic and offers a color coating for the marbles and each side where the marbles sit. I will have to give this game a plus for its durability, because if you can find a child that can destroy these plastic marbles enter them in the Olympics! Speaking of the marbles, children can swallow them easily so if you have small children, keep this away from them!
