First, let me say that I did not receive Prestige Medical hemostats. Thus I gave the item a neutral rating, since I cannot really speak to the item listed. The hemostats I received were poor quality with tool marks and scratches everywhere; very crude production. They have "Pakistan" poorly stamped on them and no indication that they are stainless steel anywhere. These were ordered from BP Medical through Amazon.com. I ordered another item from them (ADC Medicut 7 1/4" shears) which were also a cheap generic knock-off. When confronted, the seller refunded the other item to me, and told me to keep it as a gift. No mention of the hemostats. Out of an order of 3 items, two were knock-offs, so be wary of ordering from BP Medical.That being said, the item I received functions ok, they are surprisingly tight considering how poorly they are finished. Definitely not medical grade stuff.

I don't do surgery...but I am a guitarist and this takes the pain out of all those crazy repairs which used to require a "death mantis kill-pinch" grip to get things back in place. So for THAT purpose, this is a 5 star item. Wouldn't use for experimenting on the neighbor's rooster though...

Product was not as I expected. It's not a precision hemostat, pieces are loose, it has a lot of areas where it was ground with a coarse grinding wheel, tip of clamp is only area that secures properly, insufficient for paper items, its just okay.
