This item replaced the old temperature gauged cords and is hard to verify the oil temperature. You have to know what you are cooking- as to time the length of immersion for foods. After a few burnt products I discovered a method that kept my food safe.
Using this cord takes a little getting used to, but in the end. It works beautifully.

I Was upset when my fryer cord burn out and i was worry i would have to retired my
deep fryer, Because i search high and low at local store,s here in Oklahoma City with no luck for this cord to be found. And after finding it on amazon i swoop this cord up quick. It,s was so great I Will order another real soon.
