5.0 out of 5 stars Making good coffee in a Senseo
We discovered the Presto My Pod that fits into our Senseo and uses the My Pod Coffee Filters. That allows one to use any sort of ground coffee, including Espresso, in the Senseo. The Senseo pods are pricy and don't make a very good cup of coffee. The My Holder and Filters really solved that problem. We put one filter in the bottom of the My Pod and another on top of...

3.0 out of 5 stars make your own
Purchase from Amazon.com: a "Fiskars Squeeze Punch X-Large, Round 'n Round by FISKARS", and make your own from cheap full-size grocery store coffee filters. Each cheap grocery store coffee filter yields 6 or 7 of these mini-filter pads.

The Senseo pods are pricy and don't make a very good cup of coffee. The My Holder and Filters really solved that problem. We put one filter in the bottom of the My Pod and another on top of the coffee grounds to make it more resemble a Senseo pod and produce a better head of Crema.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's great, March 20, 2007

I love being able to use my own favorite coffee instead of the ready-made commercial coffee pods. I use a tiny filter both "under" the coffee, as well as on top of it - in order to make it easier to clean the coffee maker.
This is a product that I would not have been able to find elsewhere - or even have known about it.
Thank you!

2.0 out of 5 stars make your own pods, September 18, 2011

Why spend so much money on specialty filters for your one cup coffee pod maker. I purchase ordinary unbleached coffee filters (small), then measure the amount of coffee I like to use into it. Then I twist the top of the filter tightly, tie it off with a cotton thread, then trim the top off. I then put it into the coffee pod drawer and make my coffee! Works every time!

Hay a Mypod? You need these filters! Remember to dampen them before adding the coffee so they "sit" better in the Mypod! Practice!

The last time I ordered these 6 months ago, they are $0.03 a a unit, now they are more than twice that -- guess I'll be trolling the aisles at wallymart -- or order 1000 for $21.00 ... I think I'm going to check some lab supply houses.

This is a waste, and takes more time. I make my own pods. Get the smallest
coffee filters, and fold it to fit in your machine. I have the Senseo coffee maker. I prefer making my own pods, than these or buying their pods. Get the unbleached coffee filter, its better for you, and about the same price.

My husband like a cup of coffee every evening. We have a Senseo coffee maker, and he used the pods for his coffee. It is too expensive to buy the pre-measured coffee pods from Senseo, so he makes his own.

I love my senseo but hated the cost and flavor of the pods available. So when I discovered the MyPod replacement filter I was all over it. Admittingly the process is a bit messier than using the original pods - but the experience is well worth it. I highly recommend getting these and the holder so you can enjoy your own brand/flavor of coffee.

The MyPod with these filters makes excellent coffee as long as you're starting good quality ground coffee. Much better than any of the Senseo types I've tried.
Two minor problems: doesn't froth like the Senseo coffee.
You still have to prepare and clean up the coffee grounds, just like with an ordinary coffee maker!
