I bought this because I have a 10" Fagor pressure cooker that didn't come with a canning insert, and the only one they offer is specifically made for 4 pint jars. This will work for me (haven't canned with it yet) because it fits about 1 or 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of the cooker. It doesn't quite sit all the way--it get sandwiched by the apparently sloping sides of the pot. But it will still serve its purpose, albeit with my losing about an inch of headroom.

I use a cooking rack everytime I use my pressure cooker. The meat don't stick to the bottom of the pot & I think it helps for an easy clean up.
