Product Description
The cooking rack is used to hold jars off the bottom of the unit while canning. It is also placed in the bottom of the cooker when it is desired to keep food out of the cooking liquid when cooking, i.e. when steaming vegetables.

Just go ahead and buy this if you are getting the 23 qt pressure canner from Presto. It makes processing two layers of pint jars much easier and more stable. No more worrying if the jars will shift and the second layer will fall.

Canning Rack for Pressure Canner
What can I tell you? It is not really a rack, but is raises the surface so your jars are not laying on the bottom of the cooker.
