Just go ahead and buy this if you are getting the 23 qt pressure canner from Presto. It makes processing two layers of pint jars much easier and more stable. No more worrying if the jars will shift and the second layer will fall.

Just as described, now I can layer my pints to get more canning done at one time.

Perfect for those who love to can and prefer to can in pints. This is a time saver and a must have.

This canning rack is a must if you can in pints and half-pints and like to get a large number of jars done quickly. I have had one of these for years and just bought another for a family member along with a 23 quart canner.

We use ours to BWB half pints of jams and jellies as well as pressure canning pints and half pints. We also use it in a large pot when we are water bathing quarts so that we have two vessels going at the same time.

If you're buying the canner, buy the rack at the same time. If you already have the canner, buy the rack. You'll wonder how you ever did without it.

I bought this to use in my second canner, to keep the jars off the bottom. It works like a charm and is the perfect size for both of my canners (a pressure canner and a water bath canner). I can't imagine making jam without it!

The presto canning rack fit just like it came with the canner. I can't wait to get to the farmer's market
and get some vegetables to start canning.

This product is easy to use and I am very pleased with this product. Before buying I researched a lot and found this to be about as good a price as any too, especially for its capacity. I Have used it several times already with no problems (and had fun doing so)!.

I am a first time canner this year and was quite apprehensive about this purchase. I was going to start with a smaller capacity canner but decided to go all way, right away with the bigger one because with the Presto 1781 23 Qt. Canner you can layer your jars and process more jars at one time. In saying that if you purchase the 23qt Canner, I recommend purchasing an extra rack because it only comes with one rack. If you want to layer jars you will need two racks. Presto Cooking/Canning Rack for pressure canner as purchased on Amazon. Instructions are easy to understand and the product works great. I feel like I am an old pro already and boy is it fun!

The only thing negative I have to say is that the manual that came with my product is missing several pages. I was however able to easily retrieve a manual online at goPresto.com to get those pages. As with other reviews it does darken inside but that is par for the course for aluminum...does not effect the product in the least!

Would definitely recommend this product! Price was just right as well!
