This replacement gauge works well. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars is because it comes without the nut to secure it on the lid. The threads are different than the old gauge so I had to buy one. Couldn't find one to fit at the hardware store so I had to special order it. It only cost me 27 cents, but it would have saved me a bit of extra trouble if they had only shipped it with the nut on it.

This gauge DOES NOT fit #0178005 and does not come with a nut or proper washers. I just ordered the correct gauge directly from Presto for $18.00 plus $6.00 shipping. I strongly recommend that others do the same.

The reference for this gauge replacing part #82121 for a 01/CG22 Presto Canner was NOT a fit for my canner!! The proper gauge replacement part number for gauge 82121 is number 85772!! I ordered this gauge per this page and had to return it. Although, Amazon refunded me the return postage, I was out the $6.98 shipping charge since the company, ANTonline, only refunded the gauge price. :o(
