Keep a supply on hand,

I keep a small supply of these on hand because, even though my two Presto pressure cookers are only three months old, the gaskets do not last very long and scalding liquids seep out from under the cover--making a real mess on my countertops.
These gaskets are made in China, according to the packaging that comes with them, and I suspect that they are not made as well as those that were produced in the U.S. in the "good-old days." I am thankful that they are available through Amazon.com, and are usually shipped out relatively quickly. If you're going to use pressure cookers, you do need to keep a supply on hand, IMO.

I purchased this product so that I could use my 6-quart pressure cooker again. Since getting this seal pack my pressure cooker works like it did when I first purchased it. If you have a 4 or 6 quart Presto pressure cooker and it isn't sealing right anymore then I definitely recommend purchasing this for it.

I was so proud of myself, my 25 year old Presto Stainless Steel pressure cooker finally needed a new seal and the model numbers were still visible so I made the online order! Well, when it came, I gave it to the maid who promptly removed the swollen old one and replaced it with the exact manufacturers recommended replacement.
Thing is, it doesn't seal, the rubber gasket is way too thin ... Of course she didn't tell me it was loose ... guess she thought I knew what I was ordering ... I had bragged about how easily I found the 'Authtentic Replacement' part! So it was not until I went to use the pressure cooker that I realized no pressure could be built up anymore. Well, so now do I go back to zero and start over or just give up! Not at all happy that the item I bought online turned out not to fit even though all the numbers and models were correctly entered...

Our pressure cooker is about 40 years old. After matching descriptions, we ordered this seal and pressure relief plug. The seal was not the same shape as the original and we needed an "automatic air release" (plug with a small metal pop-up in it) instead of the relief plug. On the positive side, the order arrived quickly and there was no problem returning it for full credit.

I have 2 year old pressure cooker and gradually it started cooking worse and worse. i thought I needed to buy a new one but then read documentation for my cooker saying that sealing ring and overpressure plug should be replaced every 2 years.
So I bought that, replaced these details which was very easy and cooker working as new. Great fix for the little money!!!

Perfect fit. Rejuvenated the old pressure cooker to "new" condition. Goodman's shipping was very prompt too. Thanks!

I have a 6 quart pressure cooker that I inherited from my mother. It is older, but in perfect condition. I use it regularly and needed to replace the seal. This ring fits perfectly and appears to be designed better than the previous one. I oiled the ring slightly as suggested in the instructions and my cooker is as good as new. Great quality product, appears to be genuine Presto brand. Recommended for replacement if you have a 4 or 6 quart pressure cooker. FYI, the model # is 09936 which I verified through Presto's online manual.
