Review

"Pretending He's Mine is the absolute BEST novella I have ever read. I devoured it. Reeve is delicious, he makes you swoon, smile, sweat and sizzle. He's heart stoppingly sexy and his dirty mouth is OH.SO flipping scrumptious. I fell hard, majorly hard for him." - Angie's Dreamy Reads

"There are so many scorching hot scenes between Reeve and Sutton, but I think my favorite would be the bar. And all Reeve was doing there is TALKING to her. It was so sexy though, to hear him telling her all the places he wanted to kiss her." - Reality Bites

"I've found a new book boyfriend in Reeve! If you're looking for a quick, fun, sexy, story with some major steaminess, then Pretending He's Mine is the perfect book for you!" - Sugar and Spice Book Reviews

"Pretending He's Mine is a sexy novella that is packing some heat! Reeve can be my pretend boyfriend any week of the year! Enjoy fellow romance addicts!" - Fueled by Fiction

I was like awww man this is only a novella but once I started reading OMG what a novella it is!!!
It's hot,it's sexy and boy oh boy do these two have major chemistry, my cheeks were a bright shade of red in a few scenes, I absolutely loved it! I won't give away any spoilers but THIS is how a novella is meant to be written! Start, middle and ending were perfect and it was wrapped up fabulously! Congratulations Lauren Blakely, Pretending he's Mine is my top novella so far for 2013!!

This was definitely a fun, cute read. It was just what I needed after reading a pretty heavy dark fantasy book. :) There wasn't a whole lot of depth to this story, but it was such an enjoyable read. Sutton calls upon Reeve to pretend to be her fiancee so she can land the job opportunity of a lifetime. In exchange, Reeve will also get the shot at one of the biggest leading male acting roles in the business.

I really liked Sutton and Reeve. Blakely did a great job of creating fun, flirty characters who quickly started blurring the lines of what was pretend and what was real. I think that was my favorite part of reading this book! Watching Sutton and Reeve struggle between deciding whether or not the other was truly acting a role was too much fun.

I personally think Reeve was a little more open that Sutton was. Sutton ran hot and cold, which drove Reeve crazy. One minute he'd think she actually wanted him and felt something more and the next he was confused by her withdrawn, hard nature. Watching him call her out on it in the wine cellar- ooh la la la! :)

Overall, if you're in the mood for a quick, light, enjoyable read- this book is a good choice!

Lauren Blakely's novella follow-up to Caught Up In Us is a 5 Star wonder. I love novellas and wished more authors wrote them. They are the perfect size to squeeze into a lazy morning or for a few hours when you can't sleep at night. At any rate, this was a great love story. I liked it because the relationship starts off the way I think most do...with intense attraction (or in this case, lust). Major like, and then love, develops later. This story follows the lust part of the relationship and it is H-O-T. You will never go to a theater production or library again without thinking about Reeve and Sutton.

I completely loved Reeve. Sutton I didn't quite warm up to but in hindsight, I think it's because her character was true to her heritage. She was British and a film industry higher up. She was supposed to be cool and untouchable. That didn't last long the more she got to know Reeve.

Great read...get it now!!!

I am loving the Caught Up In Us series. I love how each one expands on different characters yet still ties together. I hope Laura Blakely continues Kat and Bryan's and Sutton and Reeves stories!

Wow, that's what I repeated in my head over and over again.

We all know how hard it is to like/read a novella, they are short and somehow never live up to their potential, it's like hurrying intercourse, it ends up disasterous, Here is the exception to the rule.

Lauren Blakely wrote this amazing novella, I felt deeply connected to both Sutton and Reeve (totally dig the special names!)
The characters have some serious depth, we really did get to learn them better, like we would in a book.

What I liked the most in this novella, was the 'feel* of the book, everytime I put it down (don't hate, I have a tiny blatter), I was eager to get back to it, it had such a sweet, light, fun vibe to it. It always put me in a good mood. I love the theme in this book how acting between Sutton and Reeve got mixed with what was 'real' and 'fake' blurring into one.

And let's not forget the sizzling chemistry bewteen Reeve and Sutton, Oh my lord, there were times where I felt like, I need to somehow find/hire my very own Reeve, *sigh* wouldn't that be epic? ;D

The first thing that got me to love Reeve immediatly was after he said this quote:

"I find I'm genereally open to pretty much everything. Want to do it outside? I'm your man. In front of the window with the neighbors across the street watching? Totlly gine with that. On the stairwell in your office building? Put up the bat signal and I'm good to go." - Reeve.

OMG! He is like the sinful dark chocolate you know, you can't have but want oh so desperately! I love his fun, playful side, his serious and smart side and his vulnerable and sweet side *sigh* he puts the bar high on the standard on what a boyfriend should be like, ladies you have been warned.

Book 2 in the Caught Up In Us series be should to read Caught Up In Us first! This is a great love story between Reeve and Sutton, which started out for about 3 minutes as pretend and grew quickly. Loved the hot public scenes! Like Reeve I also suspected Janelle wasn't the prude she sometimes portrayed. What a fun job interview for both Reeve and Sutton! Reminded me a little of Can't Buy Me Love - a great romantic comedy from my teenage years. And now a little about the story...

Reeve is between acting jobs and has just been given a week off (without pay) from his bike messenger job. He's going to need to find something fast to make rent. His best friend Jill suggests introducing him to a friend who runs a male escort service. While he turns Jill down he gets a call from his agent that Sutton Brenner, a hot shot casting director, wants to see him. She does have him in mind for a part, just not an acting in Broadway or film type of role. She needs a fiance for the next week to ensure becoming the casting director of the next biggest hit! Watch how they go from pretending to falling for each other.

Favorite quote: "Even in his wildest hopes, he never imagined he'd be wearing only boxer briefs and cowboy boots while handcuffed to a bedpost."
