I ordered this book after reading the positive reviews as I was looking to make this year's Christmas a little more personal, more... homemade.

The book is indeed pretty, with gorgeous photos of wonderfully quirky and cute projects using nice fabric, but I was looking for something with a greater variety of projects that could serve practical Christmas functions, done to a higher level of finesse.

There are a few items that were great and I will probably make: the teddy bears, the angel wings, the bird ornaments, the stockings (with a modified pattern)...

My biggest complaint is that of the 35 projects, there would be 5-8 that are "remakes" of the same item/theme - for example, the large angel, small angel, angel tapestry, angel framed card, angle wings, angel ornament... if you didn't like the angel design, there are only 20-something projects left to choose from.

Overall, the book is lovely but did not meet my specific expectations - I probably would not have bought the book if I had the chance to flip through the contents.

Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle is a beautifully done book, with full-color pictures, of all the projects, on glossy paper. I am very happy I purchased it as it is now among my very favorite crafting books. Lots (35) of unique crafting projects, with several size choices available, and yes, they really are pretty! Overall, a very well-designed book & one you will enjoy using & looking through over & over. The only caution I would add (& why I didn't give it 5 stars) is Sew Pretty is really for someone with crafting/sewing experience, as the directions & material lists are quite general.

Oh My God, don't delay another second, buy this book. It's totally gorgeous, I LOVE it. I only bought it last week and have already made several things and flicked through it a million times. The pictures are adorable, the patterns sooooo simple to use and lots of them. Definitley definitley worth the money. The other Tilda books are equally as fabulous! I really loved this book. The projects are easy and well explaind, and the pictures help when you think you'll have some difficulty. I've made the angel on page 32 and it turned up wonderful! I named her Sophie (here in Brazil we have the habit of giving names to our dolls). I still want to do other projects, like the angel pig, the reeinder, the little shoes, and so many others... This was the fourth book by Tone Finnanger that I bought, and she surprises me every time. I think everyone will love it too.

This book is just beautiful.Glorious pictures.It's only August and it made me want to pull out the tree and deck the halls with holly!It would even make a great gift for the non sewers.I have looked at it hundreds of times already.

The photos in this book are gorgeous and very inspiring. I do love the range of projects and ideas. There are many different levels of projects from small little apples that will take only a few minutes to make to larger, more involved wall hangings. My one problem with the book is that the instructions are not always clear. I have other books by the same author and didn't have the same problem, but in this book, there are definitely a couple of projects with very confusing instructions.

I just bought this book yesterday. The pictures are absolutely beautiful. I think that's what made me buy it! I love the fabric line that she used for the crafts, but I noticed she didn't mention the designer. Does anyone know?

This product is filled with beautiful projects that will definitely keep you busy during the Christmas season. It's filled with projects for every room and every age. I've already decided on using some of the projects as Christmas presents for family and friends!

You can never LOVE everything in a craft book, but I did see a few things I did like and feel inspired to make. It's nicely photographed which I appreciate.

This book was suggested to me by another crafty blogger who was making the flying pig for her Christmas decorations. Tone Finnager has put together a whole range of beautiful Christmas Crafts for you to make your home all festive and lovely! I really enjoyed reading it and all the steps are clearly marked out so I'm sure I'll enjoy making from it as well.
