13 minutes of pure gold!Sure, $30 does seem a little steep for such a short album (it is a single), but the songs are well worth it. The song titles are as follows: 1. Pretty Little Lilly Can Dance No More - 2:20 The 5.6.7.8's have a great vintage rock and roll sound that incorporates adorable Japanese vocals. The musicianship is great, recreating catchy '50's style jukebox rock with fun to sing a long backing vocals. The first track kind of reminded me of The Who in their earlier years, where "Daddy Goes Out Jail" is more of a boogie song that you'd kick your socks off and dance along to. The third song slows things down just a little bit while the singer croons out a love song. The last tune doesn't have any words, but some wicked organ playing. The package design is beautiful and reads mostly in Japanese. At first, I was dssappointed that it was such a short disc for what I paid, but it's one of those albums that you can just stick on repeat for over an hour and not want to listen to anything else. Overall, I highly recommend these songs, but try to see if you can find them on a full length rather than dishing out the dough for this one. |
