Last Conservative is anything but "Kings of Failure" with it's second full length release on Good Charamel Records. From the opening notes of 'Distraction' to the last booming effects of 'Learning to Stand' TJ proves that he has developed into a strong lyricist. The songs portray deep and raw emotion that any listener can feel an instant connection with. Though it's a strong, radio friendly CD, I feel that it's filled with a little too many extra noises and effects, and in some cases, making the emotion that's been to be given impossible to feel. But with two remastered old favorites 'Pretty New Things' and 'Don't Touch Me', LC expands on it's past and builds the foundation for a very long and promising future.

Last conservative is a really good CD because it has so many moods, like happy moods, and sad or even funny moods. One CD is called the pretty new things and it has a song on it, about a kid who killed himself because his family or a song about a girl and her sister.

I would recommend this to anyone because it is so different and even my sister (2 yrs.) likes to listen to Last Conservative, and normally my parents don't like my music but last conservetive, even my mom and dad can deal with! I could recommend this to 6th, 7th and even up to like, 8th or 9th graders.

My opinion on this CD is that it is the best and I would buy more by last conservative.

With LC's most current effort, the band has managed to take its ability to weave a complex, multi-dimensional lyrical tapestry to unbelievably new heights. And the music that supports these words ain't too shabby neither!! I am amazed to know that frontman TJ Zindle is only the tender age of 26, for his lyrics reflect the all-knowing wisdom of someone who seems to have been around much, much longer. This is truly a wonderful record, and I don't think I would be overstating things, to declare the track "Pretty New Things" an epic contribution to today's music. Buy this album....it'll be the best $12.00 you ever spent!!!

I've been a fan of Last Conservative for a few years now (Hammock anyone?) and by far this is their most complex, mature, and all-around greatest album yet. TJ's voice is the best I've heared it, and "Pretty New Things" is a masterpiece, as the political sensibility of the lyrics is perfectly matched to the heartfelt musical cadence. Also, you have to give LC props for the Crows reference eased on into "Don't Touch Me".

Rock is alive and well as long as these guys are making music!

I love these guys. One of my favorite all time bands. Their style is real and raw. Just received my copy today. Couldn't open the package fast enough. My favorite songs on this CD is the title song "Pretty New Things" & "The Answer". This band is true talent and know their calling. Love ya !!!
