Ever Pretty Makes a Decent, Affordable Gown
on November 15, 2013
I'm writing multiple reviews of several Ever Pretty dresses I have. 3 are gowns (like this), and 1 sundress from them. They make a decent quality dresses (not high quality, but not low quality either), and you get an affordable, cute style that not everyone is wearing because you didn't all go to the local bridal store to pick out your gown.
I've seen very negative reviews for Ever Pretty and I can't understand complaining for a $60 unique gown. If you need a $200 dress, go get one of those instead. For my purposes, I need more variety than quality. No one wants to see me in the same dress at two different events. Ever Pretty suits me here because I can get 4-5 dresses for the same price as 1 boutique gown.
The sizing is tricky. They refer you to chart not the link, but neither seem accurate to me. Plan on spending either a few days exchanging stuff to get the right size, or order size up and have it taken in.
I have the peacock/ multi-blue one. it came with the jewels in-tact, several stiches keep them in place. If you are worried about them falling off, add some fabric glue or more stitching. The A-line of the skirt was overly pronounced in general, and a little sloppy on one side. I just took it in about 1/2 inch to make it look more streamlined like the left side. The top is very lightly padded, so you can wear a strapless bra, or not. There is no boning in this gown. Your curves and the empire waist keep it up. If that's an issue, add some boning or a strap, or take in the empire waist a little more to keep it in place. I'm 5'8" without heels and found it long enough for me and those a bit taller. Shorter ladies may have to have it hemmed. The material is satin-y and very light weight with a lining underneath that does not stretch.
