This debut collection is probably my favorite book of poetry from the last few years. It fits on the edges of a lot different sub-genres inside of poetry world. It's not gurlesque, but it is. It's not confessional, but it is. It's not a thick, hard-to-swallow piece of literary steak, but a thick, hard-to-swallow piece of literary cake.
