Format: Paperback
This book is an excellent guide to preventing household accidents. The obvious things are well-covered: smoke alarms, safe storage of combustibles and poisons, electrical hazards, etc. It also covers dangerous situations that even the most conscientious may overlook: ladder use, and keeping stairs in good repair, for example. Excellent pointers on the safe use of hand and power tools are included. There are numerous checklists, and recommended websites. Each chapter has suggestions for involving your kids in household safety. The book is very well-illustrated with color photos throughout.
Everyone should read this book. There are bound to be useful suggestions for your particular situation, suggestions that will save you time, pain, and money.
