This review is from: Preventing Violence (Warning Signs for Teen Violence 16) (Paperback)
Violence in schools has made big headlines and forced us all to ask questions. Media and politicians have focused on gun control, Richard Panzer dehypes the primary causes of violence in a straight forward way. On top of his list of preventative measures is the need for fathers to be in the home. He sites studies to make his points, so the book is more fact based rather than politicaly correct, which to me is refreshing alternative. I also liked what he said about media literacy. Clearly teens do not understand the "Hollywood spin" on everything and teens need education and tools so they evaluate what they are seeing. This is a serious heads up on what we can do to prevent the death toll.
