As someone who has struggled with depression this book was very helpful to me. Dr. Weaver explains how to apply healthy thinking techniques to improve the quality of your life.

The second section contains tips for putting the skills of mindfulness, optimism, and resilience into practice in your daily life. This book will be an asset to anyone who has dealt with depression in their own life or in the life of a loved one. People who tend to be pessimistic will especially benefit from this book. If they are open to the ideas, this book should help them to make small changes in their thinking that may help avoid future depression and will promote a better quality of life.
