I'm an intermediate exerciser but I do not like high-impact. My doctor resently told me to add strength training to help drop the last 15 pounds of my weightloss. This is definately working!
There are lots of options on this dvd to help you stay motivated. You won't get bored. I combine this with the 2-week turnaround cardio or a 30 minute walk on the treadmill. I'm doing this 3-4 times a week, not every day which they recommend.
I've already had people comment on my arms and shoulders. My husband has comment on my bootie :) I'm thrilled. It's even slimming up my hips.
You might find yourself struggling the first time you do this workout. Keep your weights at a manageable weight. I use 3 lbs, I'd like to bump it up to 5 lbs soon but will keep where I'm at for now.
You won't regret this especially if you combine with her 2 week cardio workout. It's body changing!

I had been a consistent treadmiller for the past couple of years but I just wasn't getting the results I was looking for. I started the Two Week turnaround about 8 weeks ago. I do both the Arms and Legs segment and the Core segment about 5 times a week. I start with core because I find that one more challenging, then use the treadmill for 25 minutes then do Arms and Legs, then follow up with another 20 minutes on the treadmill ( using speed intervals). This program has been perfect for me and I am very pleased with the results. I use mostly 5lb weights but use 8 lbs for bicep curls. I am energetic 57 year old in reasonably good shape and would recommend this dvd to anyone who wants some guidance in basic training with free weights that does a good job in targeting all areas. Wish there was a follow-up dvd. I haven't tried the cardio dvd as I prefer walking, hiking, etc to cardio videos.

This workout is very solid. At first it might seem like it is not as challenging as other more well-known workout options, but it definitely is a good challenge if done right and you will feel it afterwards! There are options for making it harder once you get good at it and you will be able to add more weights. I do the two fifteen minute strength segments and the stretching segment--total about 40 minutes. (There is also a cardio and strength "fast track" workout but I don't do that one--I don't like to do "floor cardio" for my joints and so I do treadmill or bike for that.) I feel like I've seen good results with this tape and I am stronger and definitely more toned.

The only negative I would point out is that there are two exercises in the first segment that she does not do on both sides of the body. On one she says that she'll come back to the other side but doesn't; and on the other she just omits it. But what I have done is, after figuring out which two have this omission (tank top toner with leg lift, and wide and high flyaways on one leg) is pause the tape and then do the exercises on the other side. It is a bit annoying but not that big of a deal.

I love these workouts. I was looking for a short workout that is doable, and this is it. I have given up long workouts and keep cardio and strength training limited to 15-30 min. max. What's nice about this DVD and the 2-Week Turnaround Cardio DVD is that you can mix and match, combining 2 15-min. segments to make up a 30min workout if you want. I really like the 15-min. Fast Track segment on this one, which combines cardio and strength together. The instructor is very enjoyable and not over the top perky like some, the price of these DVD's is very reasonable, and the workouts are challenging.

I'm just beginning to tone up after having a baby, and this DVD is awesome! The instructor has two helpers that show you a beginner move and an intermediate move, so you can use the video longer. I found that just by doing all beginner moves, I felt toned and tightened the next day. I had to buy some additional hand weights so that I can get more arm toning, but cans from the pantry would work well also.

Fantastic DVD. Chris Freytag is a great instructor. Each segment is about 15 minutes long, so you can do one when you're in a hurry, or play through two or more if you have more time. I'm 52 and have been exercising since my 20's- I'm not a novice, but I AM 52! Her workouts are challenging and each one offers a harder option (most of which I can do when I'm up for the challenge!). I highly recommend her DVDs.
