I bought this not for a bird but for a ferret. It makes a great platform on the sides of a large dog kennel where you can then add ladders or ramps to it. They are very strong and sturdy. I just placed felt on the surface and zip tied it on so his legs wouldn't fall through and it works perfect for him to get into high hammocks and to also jump and play around in his cage.
