This book contains the first 3 books of the series. Mercy is a shapeshifter who can turn into a coyote whenever she feels like it. There are so few shapeshifters left (Mercy doesn't know any others herself) that her mother took her to the werewolves to raise, since she was not a supernatural being herself. Mercy left the werewolf pack in Montana years before and is now in her early 30's making her way as a car mechanic. The story starts when she is an adult. She is a very strong character and very likeable. She can stay out of trouble herself but her friends can't and she ends up helping out a vampire in one book and getting on the vampire's hit list for her trouble. In another book she trys to help her fae friend and has the faes after her. The werewolf leader of the pack next door is one of her friends whom she likes to torment just for the fun of it and then an old werewolf boyfriend shows up and there is sexual tension all around, but Mercy keeps her cool and keeps the story line going mostly by herself. This is a great author and I just loved the series. A lot of humor and a lot of action. If you like the Kim Harrison and Charlene Harris books, you will love this one also!

It sounds silly but instead of buying all the other books just buying this one is best. I thought that this was a new or old story that I had never read but actually its some of the others books just put together. Either way I liked it.

A great buy if your just starting out in this wonderful series contains the first three books in the series, after i read the first book i just had to start on the second thats how addicting the stories are for me at least, just give it a shot and you just might like it as well especially if your a fan of the paranormal
