This review is from: The Price of Access (Hardcover)
This is a unique story that gives the lie to those who feel that doing well and doing good in the world of medicine are mutually exclusive. At times you think you are reading the script for a popular soap opera and at other times you are deep into the world of medical mysteries. McFeeley's expertise and well-researched arguement clearly demonstrate how the for-profit model can make medical advances available to the public with higher quality and at lower cost than in the world of not-for profit medical care. You may disagree with his conclusions, but if you care about the mess that is the U.S. health care system today, you owe it to yourself to read "The Price of Access."
