A massive 896 page volume featuring over 200 black and white photos and 62,000 limited editions from more than 370 makers. Updated for the year 2000. Major sections include bells, cottages, figurines, ornaments, plates, prints, steins, dolls and plush. Well indexed for ease of use. Estimated values are provided. Background information is shown for each category. Listings include item name, issue year, producer, artist name, edition limit, series name and current value. Limited edition collectors will refer to this often.

I found this book is extremely helpful if I have all the information about the object. That would be company, artist, series, year, name, number, and edition. This would be the order needed to look things up. For example: Goebel > MI Hummel > Pen Pal Series > 1996 > Sister Hum > 98 > 5/O. In some cases, I did not know the name or year just the company and/or number. Numbers with editions should be listed in a separate column. I am still looking for a figurine by company and number. I would recommend this for someone that has plenty of information on the object(s). I, also, wish there had been more catagories and companies. This book does cover the "popular" companies. I was pleased that I bought it because the majority of my items were listed in there.
