I used this to replace a cheap plastic stationary shower head that had terrible water pressure and no flexible hose.
It was super easy to install. Indeed it really is a cheap plastic unit. It feels like cheap plastic in your hands. It wouldn't have occurred to me to get it at $50, but I got it on sale for $20. It was an impulse purchase I couldn't be happier with it; though I wish the wall mount had a joint that made it easy to point up & down.
Water drips out of it when it's on the 'Pause' setting. That makes up for it having no water saving flow control. I use this setting while I'm putting on shampoo and soaping up.
It's center setting is a kind or 'Rain' setting. It's nice for getting wet all over; pretty standard stuff.
The 'Pulse' setting notch is on the extreme opposite side from the 'Pause' setting. I've used more expensive shower heads with more forceful 'Pulse' settings. If I could afford it right now, I'd much rather have one of those; though I'm not sure the water pressure in my shower would give me the same experience even then.
As it is, the 'Pulse' setting on this shower head is very enjoyable. The hose makes it much easier for me to clean the shower stall when I'm done. The shower warms up faster than the previous flow controlled head, and the 'Pause' setting (when I don't really need all that water) makes up for not having a flow control model.
Given that the price is back up to $48 today, I'd search on "showerhead handheld." Also, be aware you can buy some of the parts separately. For example, with the hose models, you can get a separate mount to place the shower head any where you want. Or you could add a sidebar, which would let you mount it where ever you want AND move the head up & down.

This is plastic, what ever happened to quality shower heads you do not have to replace all the time? We were looking to replace another shower head that is also handheld and the plastic holder broke so now we can only hand hold it. This one would be soon to follow. Something they do not tell you is what the 4 spray functions are. One of them is PAUSE!! Pause is NOT a setting, it is what you do when you turn off your shower. So really it only has 3. Instead of installing the whole thing I figured I would try it to see if it worked. Well it drips out of the head when on any setting. It also has poor pressure. I am tired of being forced to use water saving measures I do not want. It doesnt look like there is any way to remove it out of this one. The pressure was poor. I do not want to mess with it since I am sending it back. I paid $20 for it and I could have gotten a better deal else where. If I paid more I would have FLIPPED!! Send it back before they ship it to you!
