4.0 out of 5 stars A successful simulation of the TV Game Show.
I bought this as a surprise gift for my mom, but of course I had to test drive it before I mailed it off!
This adaptation of the TV show is a definite success. It has all the favorite games, the prices to guess on, the showcase showdown... everything, except you only have to watch the parts that involve your own playing, you don't have to watch the simulated...

2.0 out of 5 stars Slow...
I had originally considered getting the Wii version of this game, but as that is mostly used when playing with other people, chose to get the DSi version and play alone. I found out I am not very good at pricing, but the real downside to this game is how slowly it moves. Seems as though always waiting for it to store information or going through the descriptions, which...

This adaptation of the TV show is a definite success. It has all the favorite games, the prices to guess on, the showcase showdown... everything, except you only have to watch the parts that involve your own playing, you don't have to watch the simulated contestants play parts of the game that don't concern you.

If you get this game, be prepared to either play it with the volume on or wear headphones because not only is the true-to-life music and sound effects half the fun, but the announcer (who doesn't seem to be distinctively Bob or Drew or Rod) gives some of the instructions and product descriptions in a voiceover, which means you will miss some of the action if you have the sound turned off or have much hearing impairment.

If product placement bothers you, then this game is not for you... but then you already know that.

I liked playing Plinko. I DIDN'T like that I had very little control over spinning the big wheel. I tried to vary my spins with no success. Maybe there is a trick to it, like holding down a button longer or something before you spin, but when I tried spinning the wheel just using the stylus I had no success controlling the spin at all.

All in all it is a fun, fair, successful adaptation of the game. I expect my mom to love it.

What a great game for adults. I am 49 and just purchased the game and played it almost all night. I then let my mom who is 74 and has a Nintendo play the game and she caught on so fast and won't give it back. Now I have to buy another one for me. I don't mind...she's having fun. It's just like the real show on T.V.

I found out I am not very good at pricing, but the real downside to this game is how slowly it moves. Seems as though always waiting for it to store information or going through the descriptions, which if you were actually at the studio, playing the game, would be thinking time, but here is just slow. Would not recommend one way or the other, as each has their own reasons for wanting to play a game like this.

Graphics are fine, better than the previous version. More games make it more fun. Lots of the same items come up for bid, so you can start to win everything pretty fast. Dont play too much or it will get boring lol!

Not real thrilled with this game. It's fun but takes a while and makes you play the same games a lot!
