What makes this volumn published by Subterrean Press so Delux that it is priced at $260.00? This must be printed on gold foil. I just ordered a hardcover for $16.98 published by Spectra that matches the other books I have in the series. The huge price should be explained more clearly.

W. Pinkston says:
Yeah, that price is nuts. It must be like that book in the Neverending Story or something to be worth that much.

This Book is so expensive because it has been fully illustrated.

R. Agency says:
Still, $260 for the illustrations which are glanced at as you turn the page? I think not. I listen to the audio cd's anyway.

"The limited edition is signed by George R. R. Martin and Charles Vess, and is limited to only 448 numbered sets."

rip off

i just wish the paperback boxset version ,were formatted as a bit "taller"...being just a bit ,less thick it would be easier to hold/read as you turn the pages

Is the book mark at the a collectable? Is it a first edition? That the only way I can see a book being worth that much money. ..or it could just be a mistake by the person selling the book.

So it signed by George Martin. So that book is a investment.
