1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly made bits, June 26, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 13-piece Carbide Brad Set (Misc.)
It was obvious as soon as I opened the box, these bits are poorly made. The largest bit has more than half the carbide ground away on one flute side, obviously from inattentiveness in the manufacture, and not much concern about it as it was put in the box, then shipped out anyway.
The caution tag that came with them regarding excersizing care as they are very 'sharp', is a joke. A 'dull' warning would have been appropriate. I had to sharpen all of them with diamond files.
As a former machinist, recognizing poor quality work isn't hard. Anyone who might have tried to drill a hole in any block of wood with these would have reached the same conclusion.
