Kelly Price's third CD was delayed for at least a year before it was finally released, and I'm happy to report that it's worth the wait. It's usually not a good sign when an album gets pushed back as frequently as "Priceless" did, but you can breathe easy that Kelly hasn't lost her groove. The album not only represents a mature step forward, but she's clearly grown more confident and self assured since her 1998 debut "Soul of a Woman." What's more, she co-wrote the majority of the tracks and serves as executive producer on the album. Her gospel-flavored voice glides through ace cuts like the emotional "He Proposed," the showstopper "I Live Here Now," and her battle of the pipes with Faith Evans in "Sister." But the track that had me raise my eyebrows is "Again," a Latin-flavored jam that features guitar from Eric Clapton, whose playing blends nicely into the song. Ever since Price made a guest appearance on Whitney Houston's single "Heartbreak Hotel," her career has been moving in the right direction and is one of r&b's most respected young singers. The Price is right.

I applaud Kelly for losing weight because most of us know it is hard work. But I can't help notice that Kelly's songs were better on her previous albums. Before Kelly sang with more heart and for some reason the songs were deeper. I don't know if emotional struggles had anything to do with it but I could connect with Kelly better before she changed. I feel like she not only changed her looks but changed her way of singing. She was always a beautiful woman with the voice of an angel. I will continue to buy her albums. I don't have THAT much of a problem with Priceless but I expected a lot more from Kelly. This album...well I just wasn't feeling it the way I felt her other songs. I didn't hear anyone talking about it. I don't know how it did on the charts. I wish Kelly the best and I will always be a fan. But I notice that when artists lose weight or change their looks their songs seem to change too. I saw this with Luther too. Once he lost all that weight he didn't seem like the same singer we all knew and loved. I think adjusting to someone's new look is hard when a new album accompanies that. It's like the public doesn't get a chance to get used to the new persona so the new album is just too weird to get into. I don't know if other people notice that but it seems that once someone looks a certain way, they don't put all the heart into the songs they sing from that point on. I hope Kelly's next album is a big hit and I hope it provides the old talent she had when she was larger ( even if she stays the same ).

This is Price's best CD and it did not get promoted well. I'm a huge fan of Price and I'm really glad I bought this CD. Price has a strong voice. A real voice, a voice that sounds even better Live. The one low point on this CD was her collaberation with Keith Murray. Aside of that I liked almost all the songs on this CD.

2. Someday - nice gospel sounding CD
5. Sisters - Beautiful song with Faith Evans
6. Again - nice song with some Latino guitar flavor
8. Strong Man - very, very, nice song. One I play a lot reminds me of my man. :)

#7 is a nice lude with very nice music that would have made a nice full song.

9. How does it feel - Price really shocases her voice on this song.

This CD is just awesome.
