5.0 out of 5 stars Guide to Effective Giving, January 6, 2006
This review is from: PricewaterhouseCoopers Guide to Charitable Giving (Paperback)
This isn't a rah-rah, feel good book about giving to charity. It deals strictly with the guidelines for different types of giving. If you have money to bestow, you want to know how to do it properly.

From this book, you'll learn about tax deductible and non-tax deductible donations, charitable gift annuities, deferred or planned gifts, etc. It also covers the advantages and disadvantages of each type of gift.

There are ways to give that I'd never thought of, so it's wise to consult this before making a major gift of money or possessions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Necessary reading at tax time, November 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: PricewaterhouseCoopers Guide to Charitable Giving (Paperback)
An infinite help for individual contributors to charities. In a completely up-to-date (includes information on September 11 charities) and easy to understand format, the book teaches the reader how to be socially responsible in their donations and also to save tax money during a trying economy. The charts, examples, and lists of deductible and non-deductible items were the most useful.
