Sleep Station is one of those indie bands i stumbled unto what seems like years ago and have enjoyed most all of the albums i've bought from there. At points in times, some of their work has been compared to Neutral Milk Hotel. (nice to compare but not super accurate)The lead singer has a nice smooth voice and musically, they tend to fall into almost a Wilco Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (minus the noise) in terms of songwriting style.This album in my eyes is the strongest all the way throughout. Great songs, which set a mood and it shows off the bands talents. If you enjoy melodic music set adrift from the mainstream, you should like this album. |
