LEGACY VOLUME 7 marks the end of an era. It contains the last three events ever held by what many, including me, consider the greatest MMA organization of all time - Pride Fighting Championships. I don't want to stir the ashes of the "UFC vs. Pride" dramaversy, especially since it's now pointless, but two of the shows included in this 3-disc package make a pretty solid argument for the Japan-based organization. ..if only in terms of spectacle, and the proportion of what might be called "superfights."

Volume 7 includes Pride 32: The Real Deal, Pride 33: The Second Coming, and Pride 34: Kamikaze, which is the very last Pride card ever held. Each disc includes opening commentary, special features (press conferences, fighter interviews, bios, photos), and the occasional bonus bout. There is editing, but it only involves the dead space between the bouts, and the fighter walk-ins are available in the special features. Here's a brief spoiler-free overview of the best fights:

Pride 32. 8 fights, 121 minutes.
Ruthless Robbie Lawler vs. Joey "The Mexicutioner" Vilasenor. Don't blink.
Phil Baroni vs. Yoskuke Nishijima. The winner of this fight used a submission he learned watching on television the week before the fight. No kidding.
Dan Henderson vs. Vitor Belfort. A legitimate superfight between the Greco-Roman wrestler/slugger Hendo and "the Phenom."
Shogun Rua vs. Kevin Randleman. Part II of the Chute Boxe vs. Hammer House rivalry.
Fedor Emilianenko vs. Mark Coleman. Former UFC heavyweight champ and Pride Grand Prix champ Coleman tries for Fedor's Pride heavyweight belt.

Pride 33. 9 fights, 160 minutes.
Travius Wiuff vs. James Lee. Again, don't blink.
Antonio R. Noguiera vs. Soukoudju. I repeat, don't blink.
Mac Danzig vs.
